The story of how I quit

Well,  I did it. I quit my job yesterday.

"WAIT? Did you just say quit," you ask? "Aren't you struggling right now? Needing work? Living with your parents?"

Why yes... yes we are. But only for one more week because........

I was offered a full time job this week. We signed the lease to our new apartment. And Music Man has a very, very good job prospective. I know. A few weeks ago I mentioned he had a very good job here close to where we are staying, but that fell through... so he's been jobless again. It's another story of endurance. It's another show of God's plan.

But for your entertainment, I will tell this story.
The story of how I quit:

Running: my fight against negativity

In lieu of International Woman's Day yesterday, I have a rant. I don't usually rant alot, unless it's something I feel strongly about. And this is something.

I was watching the Today Show Monday morning, and was lucky enough to catch a performance by Avril Lavigne. And I say lucky, because it reminded me how much I hope my own writing and own life can affect women positively someday.

Proof I'm a Nerd (though I prefer Janeite)

I happen to have this thing for Jane Austen. I know, I know. Everybody loves Jane Austen these days, but may I just say that mine is legit? I first read Pride and Prejudice when I was in Jr. high, and it wasn't the abridged version. It was the real thing. Being in Jr. high, I'm sure the vision of Mr. Darcy is what pulled me in... as it does most women... but now that I'm older, went through college as an English major, and can appreciate Ms. Austen's writing, I find more to love than just Mr. Darcy in her books. (Like Captain Wentworth, George Knightley, Edward Ferrars....) Actually, I find myself appreciating her wit and writing style, as well as her observations about life during the early 19th century.

It's about time I did some long miles

It's finally official. I'm not just running a training program for a half-marathon. I'm training for a half-marathon.
