Commit to the Challenge

Are you ready for the challenge?

I'm ready.
I can't wait until tomorrow morning.
Stress management is calling me.
I'm ready to shed the anxiety.

Here's what I'm thinking. If you're willing to take the 30 Day [home practice] Yoga Challenge with me, then take the step and put it out there.
It's what will help keep you accountable.

So do this:

Step 1: Leave a comment on this post telling me you'd like to join the challenge.

Step 2:
Take this banner:

Save it as a jpeg, and then post it on the sidebar of your blog. To help link others to the challenge, I'd appreciate it if you would link my yoga challenge tab to the picture. Address here: http://enduringtrigirl.blogspot.com/p/yoga-challenge.html
That way other's can be directed here. We'll get an official blog link-up going.

Step 3: blog. Read mine and leave comments or questions on my posts. Let me know what you want to know. I'll get you there as best I can. Or, if you have a blog, write about your challenge. I'd love to see how it's helping you.

Step 4:  Make sure you have the right tools, such as these:
You will want a good yoga mat so you don't slip on the floor, and a belt of some sort. I happen to have an actual "yoga belt" but a long belt, or a scarf, or even a resistance band would work. A belt helps you ease into stretches, especially for tight hamstrings. One other item you might think about picking up is a set of yoga blocks (off to get mine tonight!) Again, they are tools to help you reach poses without over stretching at first.
You can find all three of these items at your local Walmart in their fitness section- you don't have to spend a ton of money, but these three items will help your beginning practice.

Step 5: Believe in yourself. I believe in you.  We will endure together.

  1. I would love to do this with you, Caitlin -- I've only been doing very basic yoga for about a year -- but I'll be in China for most of the next 30 days. Maybe when you have the Yoga Challenge Redux I can join in :-)
